Medical Treatment for Rescues
Once we receive a new dog the dog is taken in to one of our approved vets and given a complete physical exam, given any vaccines that are age appropriate, fecal, dewormed, heartworm tested, and are scheduled for spay or neuter. We also, address any other health issues such as heartworm treatments if they are heartworm positive, take off any lumps or bumps that we find, and check for any dental issues. We want the dog to be completely healthy once they go to their new homes and if there are any health issues that are long lasting then we want to be able to pass the information along to the new owners.
After all medical needs are met the dog will go to a foster home to receive our other services.
