1 1/2 - 2 yo very big goofy boxer boy. He needs work on manners but is doing great. He is very eager to please. He is active and loves other dogs. He doesn't seem interested in cats. He is still gaining weight after being starved and his skin is doing much better. He will make a great addition to an active family!!

Jake is a 4-5 year old that came to rescue with hardly any hair from demodex mange. He was full of intestinal parasites, heartworms, and malnutrished. He is now on the road to recovery and doing well. He has been neutered and is working on his housetraining. He wears a belly band to help with this. He has a very slight heart murmur that needs no medication but needs to be noted in case he ever needs surgery. He has started playing with the other dogs but loves to snuggle on the couch with his person. He deserves an awesome home!!

Lola is a very sweet 2 yo boxer girl that has had a very rough start in life. She came in to rescue skin and bones with hardly any hair. She was so frightened of humans yet she never offered to bite or growl. She has come a long way but she is still very skiddish. She is going to need someone that is very loving and patient. She can also soar over a 5 ft fence in a single bound so a 6 ft privacy fence would be great. Another dog helps to give her confidence. If you can help Lola with her journey please let us know!!!

Doug is a young red fawn boy – we’re guessing he’s about 2 years old. He is super sweet and is getting along great with the other dogs in his foster home. He even likes the cats! Doug is very nosy and is definitely a “Velcro” dog as he likes to be right with you as you move from room to room. He’s active but not hyper, and he enjoys laying down at your feet – or in your lap if you let him. He is doing great with crate training and only whines for a bit before settling down. It seems like he’s been housetrained at some point, or at least partially trained. Even though he was unaltered before coming in to rescue, he hasn’t marked in the house at all. He is working very hard on pottying outside and it shouldn’t be long before he’s fully trained. He already knows sit, and we’re working on other commands as well. He’s very motivated by treats and praise, and is eager to please. Doug has been neutered and is now fully vetted and ready to go to his new forever home.

Mitzi is looking for a retirement home where she can spend her days playing, lounging and soaking up love. She was turned in to the shelter by her previous owners, who said she is 13 years old. L While at the shelter, she seemed to be fine with cats, so she was going to live with one of our foster homes. However, once she got comfortable, she has decided she does not want to share her home with kitties. Since the foster home she is in currently also fosters cats for a local humane society, they have decided it is best for Mitzi to find a cat-free home if possible. Mitzi is a wonderful girl, and though she has many years behind her, don’t think she isn’t very full of energy! She runs around the yard with the other boxers, and is able to keep up with her 2 year old foster boxer with no trouble. Mitzi can be a tad bit dominant with other dogs, but once she’s settled she gets along with dogs who allow her to be the boss – she has earned it through seniority, after all! She loves people of all kinds and is extremely well mannered. She is housetrained and crate trained. Of course she is out of the destructive puppy stage, so no chewed shoes. J Since she is older, we ran additional bloodwork and tests to make sure she was in good physical shape. Everything was in normal parameters except her Thyroid, which is a bit low. We have her on medication for this – one half a pill twice a day. It is an inexpensive medication. Our vet bill for Mitzi was $200.00, so any donations would be extremely welcome. She does have a reduced adoption fee. Senior dogs are such blessings, and we hope someone will open up their heart and home to this wonderful girl.

- Here's Rory! Rory is Anya's pup and she is a feisty one! Rory is a brindle boxer pup with white on her chest and toes. She is such a precious little one who loves to be held for a few minutes, and then she is off to wrestle her brothers and sisters. At 5 weeks old, Rory is eating moistened puppy food, is paper trained, and has been dewormed twice. Vaccinations start at 7 weeks, and then she will be spayed in early March. Be sure to get your application in soon!
