Lilly is the white boxer who was left at a shelter in Savannah this summer with her eight puppies (that’s her sweet face on your homepage under “How you can help”). You guys rescued them all and featured those puppies on your website granting naming rights for donations. Once the puppies were weaned and Lilly was spayed, we were able to adopt her in late August. We’ve renamed her “Lola”, and she’s quickly become the center of our household. We’d like to think she has put her rough past behind her now as she settles into her new life of domestic bliss. Thank you so much for putting Lola in our home and hearts. My son and I plan to be at the Dec Boxer Bash to show off our relatively new boxer (even though it feels like she has been with us forever now). Thanks for all you and Rockin’ P do."

Hooray for Annibel and her new family.

Ava
6/09/07: Went to her new home with her mom and dad. Her new mom writes, "Ava now Rose had a busy day today.  We took her to Atlanta Bread Company, back to Petsmart :o), Wal-Mart and to a friend's house to feed their cat.  The cat trip was in Jeff's truck.  She had a ball riding in the back seat of the truck. Thought she was a queen! We watered the grass today and she played in the sprinklers.  She found a good-sized puddle and proceeded to roll all in it.  Boy did she get wet!
She had a ball-the wetter she got, the happier she got.  She also tried to chase a butterfly.  Almost caught a wasp, but we told her she wouldn't like that!  She has now met my six favorite children in the cul-de-sac. Lauren's birthday was yesterday and since we got Rose (Ava) yesterday they will share the same birthday.  Lauren is REAL excited about that!  Rose has also met several of the dogs in the neighborhood.  She doesn't have the hang of the doggie door yet.  We think she's just a little overwhelmed.  She has a pretty red dog tag with her name and phone number on  it to go with her pretty collar.  We named her Rose because we wanted her to have a pretty name to go with the pretty face and personality.  We think it fits. We couldn't have asked for a better dog.  We know as she gets more
comfortable with us we'll start to see more of her personality.  We look forward to it!  Thanks  for taking such good care of her until we could welcome her into our family!"

What a great Happy Tail!!!

Slim aka Dash
6/08/07: Is now at his new home with a little boy of his very own. His new mom writes, " We wanted to send an update on “Slim” now being called Dash.  My 61/2 year old son, Simon refers to him as his brother!  We are half way through a six week session of obedience training through Dog School 101. After our first class Dash went to Doggie Day School and his true awesomeness was brought out by these angels.  They believe in rewarding good behavior and Dash is on his way to being class ValedictorianJ  Some great things about Dash: *When he wants to go for a walk, he gets his leash and brings it to you. *He can climb up a ladder into by son’s play set and then runs down the rock climbing wall. *If the phone rings he will get the handset and bring it to me. *He is very loving, like to snuggle, and a part of our family! *He loves riding in the car and has been to work with me and my husband  *He gets lots of attention from strangers about how well behaved and beautiful he is (of course they can’t believe he is a rescue! I have given out your info to the dog school, the vet, neighbors and perfect strangers) Thank you for all that you do!  You may be hearing from us again…for another addition with four legs. " We are very happy for Dash and his new family!!!

Benny
5/31/07: Is in his new home with children. He loves it and they love him. He is kind and gentle with the kids, loves to play ball and tug of war, go on runs and take trips to the park and play in the stream. He runs around in tight circles and the kids have coined it "Benny is doing NASCAR". When he is at the stream his NASCAR mode goes in off roading as the circle includes the down the sandy beach, up the stream banks, over large logs, through the woods, off the high stream bank, into the water, and over again. Hence the nickname Nutball. His fur is coming back in well too. Thanks again as he is a great, well trained, kind and fun dog."
